Testing & qualification
Firmware validation, exploratory and regression testing, defect investigation, test environments, and technical documentation.
David Pasky is the founder of ForgeOverflow. His background spans firmware testing, infrastructure operations, and technical team leadership. Fatherhood is an important part of his life and the story behind the person building the company.
Explore David’s background
David’s technical experience starts with the work of testing and qualifying systems: setting up controlled environments, investigating defects, running regression and exploratory tests, and helping other people learn the process.
At Experis, he served as a Lead Test Technician supporting HP LaserJet firmware qualification. His work covered Platform, Connectivity, and Common Services, with responsibility for validating code changes, tracking defects, and maintaining the virtual machines and networks used for testing.
At Expedient, he progressed from Technical Analyst through Windows technical work to an overnight Tier 1 Team Lead role. Alongside troubleshooting and incident escalation, he managed analysts, trained new hires, and coordinated with technicians and engineers to meet service expectations.
That combination of testing, operations, and leadership is relevant to the company he is building today: useful automation needs clear responsibilities, defined boundaries, and a way to verify the result.
Windows Server administration, Active Directory, VMware, incident escalation, client service levels, and team development. Responsibilities included performance reviews, training, hiring interviews, and shift reporting.
HP LaserJet low-level firmware qualification, exploratory and regression testing, defect triage in ALM, and collaboration with developers in an Agile environment. Supported isolated test networks, DNS, virtual machines, and team cross-training.
Controlled printer testing, debug capture setup, test scheduling, and operator coordination. Trained new hires on the systems and processes used in the test environment.
Being a father is an important part of who David is.
Fatherhood sits alongside his professional experience and his ambitions for ForgeOverflow. As he builds the company, he wants that part of his identity to have a clear place in his story.
ForgeOverflow is being developed to help individual builders and small teams coordinate specialized AI agents through shared plans, permission boundaries, and verification.
Alongside that foundation, David is developing practical applications such as ForgeSight, a custom camera project, and prototypes for IT operations, scheduling, and education. Each project has its own development stage and next milestone.
The direction is human-first orchestration: expanding what people can build while preserving their ability to direct the work, understand what happened, and check the outcome.
